KUALA LUMPUR: Droves of Hindu devotees thronged the Sri Mariamman Temple to offer their devotion and thanksgiving to Lord Muruga on Thaipusam day.
Devotees made their way up the temple steps in Batu Caves, some carrying paal kudam (milk pot) on their shaven heads while others carried colourful kavadis made from peacock feathers as a sign of gratitude, marching in sync to the beat of traditional drums and chants of Vel Vel.
