ROCK singer Awie (pic) claims he is a descendant of Sultan Sulaiman Shah of the 17th century Singora Sultanate (present day Songkhla) in southern Thailand, reported Kosmo!
Awie said he chose to tie the knot with his third wife Sharifah Ladyana Syed Shamsuddin at Masjid Sultan Sulaiman in Songkhla on Oct 7, out of respect for his ancestors because the mosque was named after his forefather.
