Don’t instil fear to control kids, says Chong

JOHOR BARU: Parents and teachers should not use fear to control children but instead take a modern approach by explaining to them their mistakes or grounding them, said Deputy Education Minister Chong Sin Woon (pic).

“Parents and teachers should take a more modern approach in disciplining children, rather than instilling fear by caning them,” he told reporters after launching the Gatorade Johor 3x3 Basketball Challenge here yesterday.
