Man gets 23 years jail, 14 strokes for cheating


KUALA LUMPUR: A man was sentenced to 23 years imprisonment and 14 strokes of the cane by two separate Sessions Courts Wednesday after pleading guilty to seven charges of fraud involving losses amounting to RM187,500, two years ago.

The accused V. Vicknes, 33, pleaded guilty to four charges of deceiving Datuk Tan Poh Loong, 49, before Judge Zaman Mohd Noor, and the court sentenced him to three years and six months jail and two strokes of the rotan for each charge.
