Good Samaritan pays fine to shorten Milo thief's jail sentence

PETALING JAYA: The woman who was charged with stealing a packet of Milo for her two-year-old child last week was saved from spending a longer time in jail, after a good Samaritan offered to pay her court fine.

S. Sellamah, 36, was originally handed a five-day jail sentence after failing to pay a RM200 court fine – until a kind-hearted Malay woman came forward to settle the fine.
