KUALA LUMPUR: The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) editor who refuted the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) findings is making baseless allegations again on questions already answered, says Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak (pic).
"It was clearly proven that no offence had taken place. It also shows that the Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak) is clean from all the allegations thrown at him," said the Communications and Multimedia Minister.
He also questioned intention of WSJ finance editor Ken Brown for making such statements.
"Right now, a foreigner is making those allegations based on tampered documents that came from questionable sources.
"What is the motive? Why are they trying to interfere in the country's administration? Of course they have their own agenda," he said in his speech at a book launch here Friday.
Dr Salleh was commenting on the recent new interview given by Brown to ABC News Australia on Feb 12.
Brown had refuted the AGC's findings that the money deposited into Najib's private accounts was a donation from the Saudi royal family.
He told ABC's Beverley O'Connor that the WSJ news report has not been called into question yet and that WSJ had "loads of evidence to back that up".
