PPS top officer released on bail

GEORGE TOWN: A DAP politician, who is a high ranking officer in the controversial Penang Voluntary Patrol (PPS) unit, has been released on police bail and said he was “treated very well by the police”.

Tanjong MP Ng Wei Aik, who is the deputy commander of PPS, was detained at 12.50pm at the district police headquarters in Patani Road here when he arrived to give his statement yesterday.
