PETALING JAYA: Subsidised RON 95 and diesel should be dyed a different colour to curb fuel smuggling, said the Petroleum Dealers Association of Malaysia (PDAM).
PDAM deputy president Datuk Zulkifli Mokti said currently it was difficult for enforcement agencies to tell if fuel being taken across borders is subsidised or otherwise. “This process is called tagging. It used to be done a long time ago but the practice was discontinued,” he said.
