GEORGE TOWN: The stretch of Macalister Road, which was closed following a freak storm last week, was reopened to the public at 8pm on Thursday.
However, state Local Government, Traffic Management and Flood Mitigation Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said maintenance work would be ongoing at two manholes located in the middle lanes of the road.
