Public unis to soar even with fund cuts


EDUCATION is a public good and its benefits spill over to all of society. Governments have a vital role to play – not just spending more, but also spending wisely.

Recently, there was outcry over the funding cut from the government to the public higher learning institutions (IPTA).Several parties raised concerns that it will lead to poor quality of teaching and learning and that it would eventually impact the employability of the students.
