More than just good service

I READ with great interest the comment piece titled “Cleaning up the restaurant scene” on Jan 5 and feel sad to learn about the lack of progress in improving cleanliness in our makan places.

It is rather ironic that we give so much leeway for the situation to exist unabated. Have we ever heard of calls to boycott these outlets because of their filthy conditions?
