Missing provision a huge blow for workers’ rights


AS MOST of us are aware, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement signed by 12 countries on Feb 4, 2016 in Auckland, New Zealand, is not yet in force. On Jan 23, 2017, United States president Donald Trump withdrew the US from TPP.

The Agreement as it stands, cannot enter into force without the US as it accounts for 60% of the combined GDP of the 12 TPP signatories.
