Church leader urges government to respect NCR land

KUCHING: Anglican Bishop of Sarawak and Brunei Rev Danald Jute is calling for native customary rights (NCR) land to be respected.

He said the Federal Court’s ruling which went against NCR land claimed by Tuai Rumah Masa Nangkai and his fellow villagers in Pantu was the latest in a series of court decisions which had a “devastating effect” on Sarawak’s natives.
