HOMEDEC living space exhibition kicks off

Occupying the floor space from Hall 1 to Hall 6, Homedec Part 1 offers products and services related to permanent fixtures for renovating purposes.

HOME enthusiasts, architects and developers have more to look forward to at this year’s Home Design and Interior Exhibition (HOMEDEC) beginning on Oct 19 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) with the participation of REKA Interior Exhibition (Rix).

This partnership with Rix, Malaysia's first curated design showcase of interior design, products and objects, means HOMEDEC's 15th anniversary will put a spotlight on innovative interior design products and services.

The inaugural partnership is also held as part of the REKA Design Week 2017.

At the opening ceremony of HOMEDEC Part 1 (Oct 19-22), Datuk Vincent Lim, president of C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd, the organiser, said HOMEDEC hoped to inspire homeowners with the power and pleasure of good design.

“We are honoured to have reached this milestone together with our invaluable partners and exhibitors, some of whom have been with us for many years and others who are new to the market, who believe in our platform to introduce their brands to a wider audience.

“This time around, we are excited to have RiX as part of an exclusive and dynamic collaboration between  C.I.S and the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) to share our vision and commitment to further promote our ever evolving interior design industry,” he said.

Lim added that RiX would be occupying 10% of the total exhibit space from Hall 1 to 6.

Themed “Design & Renovate”, Homedec Part 1 covers the exhibit profile for all kinds of products and services related to permanent fixtures for renovating purposes.

For this exhibition, HOMEDEC is also featuring Hometech, a special highlight showcasing innovative and technological solutions such as keyless locks, remote controls that controls various electronics, and mobile applications to control timers and switches for a futuristic home.

It is open to public from 10am to 8pm until Oct 22. Although admission is free, visitors are required to register before entry.

If you missed this edition, you can visit HOMEDEC Part 2 (Oct 26-29), featuring products and services related to furnishing, refinery, decorating ideas and interior styles under the theme “Furnish & Decorate”, at the same venue.

For Part 2, Homedec’s special highlight will be its Art@Homedec component which acts as a platform for young and emerging artists to display their masterpieces and to tap into a wider audience.

Visitors can enjoy deals of up to 70% discount, participate in the Homedec Contest and win attractive prizes, and grab as many RM100 bills as you can when you spend RM1,500 and above in a single receipt.

You also stand a chance to win an electric instant water heater by Rinnai (M) Sdn Bhd (Part 1) or pendant lights by NSB Lighting Sdn Bhd (Part 2), and win more freebies and prizes with Homedec Cruisers and the Cuckoo –  Did You Know? Contest.
