Maxland in Kulim Hi-Tech Park lease agreement


PETALING JAYA: Maxland Bhd has entered into a lease agreement with Kulim Technology Park Corp Sdn Bhd for the lease of a 4.854-acre parcel of land at Industrial Zone Phase 2, Kulim Hi-Tech Park, worth RM10.57mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Maxland said the lease is for a period of 60 years, commencing on Jan 31, 2025 and ending on Jan 31, 2085.

“The lease agreement can be renewed for another 39 years by mutual written agreement of the parties, subject to the Kedah State’s Authority approval.”

Maxland said entering into the lease agreement with Kulim Hi-Tech Park is the initial step toward the company’s business plan in the development of utility infrastructure and provider of utility services.

“The company’s venture into the utility infrastructure with the integration of renewable energy is aligned with the nation’s aspirations of sustainable development agenda,” it said.
