KUALA LUMPUR: Mudajaya Group Bhd's power plant RKM Powergen Private Ltd (RKM) has started to supply power to several power distribution companies in  Uttar Pradesh, India.

Mudajaya said RKM's unit had sold 200 MW to these companies under the power purchase agreement with the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPCCL).

“The balance of 150 MW will commence pending an approval from UPPCL subsequent to the Champa-Kurukshetra 800 kV HCDC pole and 765 kV Jaipur-Bhiwani transmission line which was commissioned recently,” it said.

It said with the start of the power sales, this was expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings for FY ending 2017 moving forward.
