KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Dagangan Bhd
(PDB), which has just introduced the Euro 5-compliant Petronas Dynamic Diesel at six stations in the Klang Valley, plans to offer the cleaner, greener fuel at 25 more stations here.
PDB said in a statement that these stations in the Klang Valley were in addition to the two stations in Johor -- at Pasir Gudang Highway 2 and Gelang Patah -- that began offering the sulphur-free fuel in December 2014.
In the Klang Valley the product, which enhances the protection and efficiency of Euro 5 vehicles equipped with the latest exhaust after-treatment devices, is now available at stations in Technology Park Malaysia 1, Mutiara Damansara (North-bound), NKVE (Damansara-bound), Solaris Putra, Solaris Serdang (Southbound) and Sprint Highway,
PDB managing director and chief executive officer Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus said: “Last year when we introduced the Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 in Johor, we promised our customers in the Klang Valley that we were working towards making it a reality and now it is available in our stations.
“Meanwhile, continuous engagement and feedback received from consumers aided in the development of improved chemistries to deliver optimum engine performance in today’s latest common rail injector systems.”
He added that the Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 was developed through Petronas’ Dakar Rally experience to deliver engine protection, power restoration and cleaner combustion for superior fuel economy and protection allowing drivers to experience maximum performance from their engines.
He also noted that the company’s new offering catered to the shift in consumer demand following the introduction of newer car models that would gain the most benefits from Euro 5 diesel.
PDB is the principal domestic marketing arm of Petroliam Nasional Bhd, which holds 69.86% of its equity.
