Malaysian archers fizzle out on last day of Asia Cup

PETALING JAYA: It was heartache for Malaysia on the last day of the Asia Cup Stage 2 archery championships as they lost both the bronze medal playoffs in the men’s and women’s team compound events in Bangkok.

The Malaysian men’s trio of Mazuki Mohd Juwaidi, Lee Kin Lip and Ruslan Zulfadhli were tied 227-227 with South Korea after four ends. Both teams were again tied at 27-27 after the tie-break. The Malaysians, however, had to concede the bronze as they were seeded higher.
