Missing consultant found dead in drain


PETALING JAYA: A 30-year-old insurance claims consultant who has been missing was found dead along Duke Highway near here yesterday.

Insurance consultant Danish Millan Sarath was missing since yesterday.

Danish Millan Sarath (pic) had been missing since he left Taman Tun Dr Ismail at about 1.50am on Thursday to return to his home in Taman Melawati.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy said police were alerted of a body found in a small drain on KM0.1 of the highway at about 11am yesterday.

ACP Munusamy said when the body was found, it was already starting to decompose and it is believed that he was dead for more than two days.

He said police also found his watch, an access card and his left shoe at the scene.

ACP Munusamy said the body was sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem while the case was classified as sudden death pending the post-mortem report.

His cousin J.P. Anton Katzman said Millan had earlier met a few clients in Taman Tun Dr Ismail on Wednesday night.

Anton said a friend who was together with Millan said he left the place on his motorcycle at about 1.50am on Thursday.

He said the friend later tried to call him at about 2.45am but was unable to reach him.
