MCMC welcomes call to reduce prices of communication services


CYBERJAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has welcomed the call by Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek to telcos to reduce prices of communications services, stressing that the move will benefit end users in the long term.

MCMC chairman Datuk Seri Dr Halim Shafie said affordable prices for communication services such as broadband packages will not only ease the rakyat’s burden but also ensure people in the lower income group in particular are not left behind in the digital era.
