PETALING JAYA: The wife of the late MAS steward Sanjid Singh Sandhu has shared old photos, memories, poems and songs on her Facebook page.
Tan Bee Geok said on Facebook that her late husband Sanjid, who was affectionately known as Bob, was in a “better place”.
Tan dedicated John Legend’s All of Me to her 41-year-old husband, saying: “That’s one of your favourite songs I have dedicated to you, please keep it with you. We miss you Bob.”
The 43-year-old also posted a Skylar Grey song titled Coming Home, remembering that he would always sing the song after work.
Tan also shared a poem by John F. Connor dedicated to her husband: “I missed you last night, I will miss you today, I have missed you so much, since angels took you away.”
“Bob, that is what me, Hans, Sheila, mum and dad want you to know. Please take very good care of yourself and follow the light,” said Tan when she shared the poem.
She also shared a photo of Sanjid that was taken on his birthday five years ago by their 10-year-old son Hans Singh Sandhu.
“No amount of words can express my thoughts and sorrow, but please know that I will not let you down,” said Tan when she uploaded the photo.
“There are too many little angels on board, they need experienced crew to guide them. Please keep them safe and follow the light,” said Tan.
Tan, who is also a stewardess, escaped death when she swapped duties with a colleague and did not fly on MH370 that ended in the southern Indian Ocean.
A passenger who was on board one of the MH17 flights from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur had only kind words for the cabin crew.
Professionalism, courteous and kind — those were the words used by Lizzie Wagner when she posted a status on her Facebook account to pay tribute to the passengers and crew members on board MH17.
“I was graced and humbled to have spent the last flight with this crew in business class, KL to Amsterdam.
“I can assure you it was happy, joyous and a very special time. We laughed, joked, praised and complemented. Such professionalism, courtesy and kindness. In fact we bonded to the point of taking photos,” said Wagner, although she did not specify the flight date.
She posted six photos on her page and in those photos, she was seen posing with the crew members Sanjid Singh Sandhu, Angeline Premila, Dora Shahila Kassim, Mohd Ghafar Abu Bakar and Azrina Yakob, all of whom perished on July 17.
