JOHOR BARU: A man died while another was severely injured after they were attacked by a group of six men in Taman Sentosa here.
Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Sulaiman Salleh said that the duo were believed to have been attacked by a group of men in front of a restaurant at Taman Sentosa here around 5pm on Monday.
"The victims were brought to the Hospital Sultanah Aminah but unfortunately one of them succumbed to his injuries and died about 6.18pm," he said when contacted on Tuesday.
He said the victim, in his thirties, was later identified as Lee Wei Lun.
ACP Sulaiman added the attackers then escaped with the victim’s continental car, leaving the two with severe injuries.
"We have detained two individuals to assist in investigations," he said, adding that the case had been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
