"This meant that the body was Gareth David Huntley," he said.

Huntley's body was found in a river in Pulau Tioman on Wednesday after he was reported missing on May 27.

The 34-year-old London accountant, who came to the island to volunteer in a turtle conservation project, had gone trekking alone to the Lubuk Teja waterfall on May 27.

He had not been seen since then and a large scale search and rescue operation was mounted to look for him.
