THE city was set ablaze when the top finalists of America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) Cycle 20 dropped by Kuala Lumpur last month.
Besides season winner Jourdan Miller, the telegenic group included Marvin Cortes, Cory Hindroff, Renee Bhagwandeen and Chris Hernandez. Hosted by Guess and StarWorld – the Malaysian broadcaster of the series – the party of all parties kept its promise by thrilling local ANTM enthusiasts.
ANTM Cycle 20 was the first season which featured boys and girls living under one roof and battling it out to earn the title of “America’s Next Top Model”.
It all came down to the fiercest of the lot, where one person was named the winner. Among the prizes that Miller received include a US$100,000 (RM329,000) US national ad campaign with Guess, whose advertising campaigns have launched many modelling careers. The popular American label was one of the main prize sponsors for this season. The event in KL – held at The Butter Factory nightspot – saw the five finalists sashaying down the runway with 15 local models. They wore Guess outfits showcased throughout ANTM Cycle 20 and from the brand’s Holiday collection.
Their appearance was greeted by fans with cheers and whistles; many whipped out their phones and cameras to snap photos of Miller and company.
