Alam Maritim gets RM10mil job

KUALA LUMPUR: Alam Maritim's unit has bagged an inshore repair and maintenance project in Kedah worth RM10mil.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia on Thursday, the group said the letter of award was received by its unit Alam Hidro (M) Sdn Bhd from a "reputable local main contractor".

The contract is to commence on Feb 15, 2015 and is expected to complete by March 31, 2015.

"The contract, valued at approximately RM10mil is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net tangible assets of Alam for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2015.

"Notwithstanding this, the contract is not expected to have any material effects on the share capital and shareholding structure of Alam," it said.
