DiGi benefits most when passing on 6% prepaid service tax

KUALA LUMPUR: The implementation of the Goods and Services Tax in April 2015 will enable telecommunication service providers to pass on the existing 6% prepaid service tax to subscribers.

AmResearch said on Monday DiGi would be the biggest beneficiary as it has the largest proportion of prepaid subscribers (84% of total) compared to Maxis (73%) and Celcom (78%).
