More than just a tournament

Australian Su Oh hits out of the rough at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia at TPC Kuala Lumpur.

AS the Sime Darby LPGA Tournament comes to an end at TPC Kuala Lumpur today, a timely message has been dispatched to remind all and sundry that the event serves as more than just a showpiece for the game of golf.

Yayasan Sime Darby chairman Tun Musa Hitam took time off at the golf club this week to stress the importance and impact the tournament has on several national fronts, not least the tourism sector, and the development of the junior game and golf as a whole and the raising of the awareness of breast cancer.
