SINGAPORE: Malaysian Gavin Kyle Green gave himself a chance at playing on the weekend at the Singapore Open after an impressive opening round.

The 23-year-old, who failed to make the cut in his maiden appearance last season, posted a five-under 66 on the Serapong Course at the Sentosa Golf Club yesterday to share joint fourth with American Han Seung-su and Pavit Tangkamolprasert of Thailand.
