Smalling signs new deal with Manchester United

LONDON (Reuters) - England international Chris Smalling has agreed a new contract with Manchester United until 2022 with an option for the club to extend for a further year, the Premier League outfit announced on Saturday.

The 29-year-old centre half, who has made more than 300 appearances for United since joining from Fulham in 2010, penned the deal ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.
