T-Team land Brazilian Leandro

KUALA TERENGGANU: T-Team have acquired the services of Leandro Dos Santos, formerly of Bangkok Glass FC of Thailand, to replace Fabio Flor.

Team chief executive officer Abdul Rashid Jusoh said the Brazilian player inked the contract with T-Team in a simple ceremony.

“He came two days ago and passed the fitness test,” he told reporters here on Sunday.

He said T-Team would also be trying out several other imported players before the transfer window for import players closed.

He said T-Team has been facing various controversies and the team were affected since the Super League competition opened last January.

“This included the tunnel controversy in Larkin, Johor Baru on Feb 1 and the problems of non-performing import players,” he said.

Abdul Rashid said, however, he is confident of resolving all problems faced by T-Team after this.

Although T-Team is now stuck at 10th place after 11 matches, Abdul Rashid hopes T-Team will rise to the occasion to get out of the relegation zone. – Bernama
