Syafiq overcomes Saturday's disappointment to win gold

KUCHING: Perak diver Muhd Syafiq Puteh bounced back from a poor showing in the 3m springboard to retain his 1m springboard crown at the Sukma.

The 20-year-old Syafiq lived up to his favourite tag at the Sarawak Aquatics Centre in Kuching by amassing 323 points over six dives to claim a wire-to-wire victory.
