Report: Taipei schools waste two thousand tonnes of food per year

TAIPEI: Around US$551.81mil (RM2.3bil) worth of food is wasted each year.

Around a hundred schools in Taipei City waste more than 2,040 tonnes of food each year, an amount equivalent to 340 million bento boxes or nearly NT$18bil (RM2.3bil) worth of food, according to the latest statistics revealed by the Taipei City Meal Boxes Association.
