AYER HITAM: A car caught fire at KM 67.9, North-South Expressway southbound on Thursday (Feb 24) near here.
Ayer Hitam Fire and Rescue Department chief Mohd Shamin Mohamad Salikin said it received an emergency call at about 5.04pm.
He said five firemen with one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle from the Ayer Hitam Fire and Rescue Department were deployed to the scene.
"The operation was led by senior officer II, Isyadi Dani," Mohd Shamin said in a statement.
He said 90% of the car was damaged in the fire adding the firemen used water hoses from the FRT vehicle to put off the fire.
The operations ended around 5.33pm and the case was still under investigation to determine the cause of the fire and the losses.
