KOTA KINABALU: Marine police have issued summonses to 21 tourist and passenger boat operators as part of increased safety enforcement in Semporna during the current school holidays ahead of the Hari Raya celebrations.
Sabah Marine Police Region 4 commander Asst Comm Pajeri Ali said Saturday (June 1) that the tourist and passenger boat operators were found to be ferrying more passengers then allowed under their licences, had inadequate life jackets.
