KOTA KINABALU: An e-hailing driver was found dead in his car at Lintas Jaya, Kepayan near here on Sunday evening (Dec 2).
Ahmad Nasip @ Nor Ahmad Nasib, 54, was found unconscious in the driver's seat of his car parked behind a row of shops. The engine was switched off.
Kota Kinabalu police chief Asst Comm Habibi Majinji said a team was despatched to the scene after a report was received at about 4.45pm, alerting them to incident.
"The deceased left his house in Pengalat Besar, Papar, at around 5am Saturday (Dec 1) to start his e-hailing shift.
"He did not return home, prompting his daughter to lodge a report at the Papar police headquarters," he said.
ACP Habibi said medical personnel from Hospital Queen Elizabeth 1 pronounced Ahmad Nasip dead at 5.24pm Sunday.
His body was sent to the Forensics Department for a post-mortem and the cause of death has yet to be determined.
The case has so far been classified as sudden death.
