RM40mil treatment plant under scrutiny

SEMPORNA: A RM40mil rural water treatment plant came under the scrutiny of the country’s top graft buster Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad who flew into this Sabah east coast town to check out the facility amid a massive probe into abuse of federal funds for the poor.

The water treatment plant was built with Rural and Regional Development Ministry funds in 2013 but is not in use because water pipelines to seven villages have yet to be connected.
