Tourists fall victim to snatch theft at hotel entrance

PETALING JAYA: A video showing two tourists becoming victims of a snatch theft has been making its rounds on social media.

The video, which allegedly takes place at the entrance to a hotel in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, shows the two tourists talking to one of the hotel's staff.

A man on a motorcycle rides into view and quickly snatches one of the tourists' phone and rides off quickly before anyone can react.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Sukri Kaman said police have not received any report on the incident yet but said they are always on the look out for possible street crimes.

He also advised the public to be mindful of their surroundings and their belongings.
