Gerakan: Abolish Penang hotel tax first before talking about tourism tax

PETALING JAYA: The DAP-led Penang state government should abolish the fees imposed on tourist accommodations in Penang before asking for the Tourism Tax Act 2017 to be repealed, says Gerakan Youth chief Tan Keng Liang (pic).

"If the Opposition is sincere about abolishing such taxes against hotels in Malaysia, it would be best if they start by abolishing the local government fee on hotels in Penang.
