Lawyer, two others fined for smoking at courthouse

The filters on light cigarettes give the illusion that it is safer, but it really isn't, says new report.

KUALA LUMPUR: A 31-year-old lawyer and a 35-year-old Philippine national were among three men who were fined between RM750 and RM900 by the magistrate's court here on Tuesday after they admitted to smoking in a prohibited area of the Court Complex here in April.

Lawyer Wan Azwan Aiman Wan Fakhruddin made the plea before Magistrate Siti Radziah Kamaruddin and was fined RM750.
