Najib condemns deadly Manchester attack

PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has condemned the deadly attack at the Manchester Arena.

He said he was appalled by the barbaric and cowardly attack on innocent concertgoers there.

Najib also conveyed his condolences and prayers to the families and friends of those affected.

"At this time of heartbreak, Malaysia stands united with Britain.

"We must be firm, determined and ready to confront terror swiftly and decisively wherever and whenever it manifests itself. We must never surrender," he said in a post on Facebook and Twitter.

The deadly blast occurred at the end of a concert by US singer Ariana Grande, killing 22 and injuring some 50 others.
