PETALING JAYA: Several PKR leaders are proposing that action be taken to distance the party from Datuk Adam Rosly’s personal affairs, PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli says.
He said he did not want PKR and Pakatan Harapan to be dragged into Adam’s controversial and unexplained accumulation of wealth.
“This proposal will be made via a decision by the PKR leadership to enable him to ‘take a holiday’ from his post until his case is solved or through the Disciplinary Council, which deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali proposed,” he said in a press statement yesterday.
On Friday, Adam, who is Ampang PKR Youth chief, was charged at a Sessions Court here with two counts of giving false statements and four counts of providing fake documents with the intent to deceive the MACC.
Rafizi said the decision to distance itself from the case should be made soon in view of a possible nearing general election.
Rafizi added that “a person with a party post should also not be seen gathering unexplained wealth.”
