Syed Hamid: Cabbies can now be taxi entrepreneurs

KUALA LUMPUR: With the introduction of the individual taxi permit, taxi drivers can now become “taxi entrepreneurs”.

Under the individual licence, taxi drivers are allowed to use two fare systems – the usual metered one, and one set up by e-hailing services if they pick up customers using e-hailing service apps.
