Bogus fund couple held for robbing old woman

ALOR SETAR: A man and his female accomplice, claiming to be employees of an Islamic religious institute, have been detained by the police for allegedly robbing an elderly woman of her gold bangle.

The couple, who claim to be husband and wife, had gone to the woman’s house at Kampung Batu 22, Jalan Yan in Yan on the pretext of collecting donation for the institute.
