NILAI: All passenger boats weighing less than 15 tonnes may be required to install an Automated Identification System (AIS) to enable the authorities to monitor their movement at sea, said Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
The proposal will also ensure passenger safety in case accidents happened at sea.
