PETALING JAYA: It is regrettable that people only start to think of what fire prevention tools they should have for their homes after a mishap happens, says the Fire and Rescue Department.

Fire safety equipment such as smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and fire blankets are actually quite cheap, according to Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department director Khirudin Drahman @ Husaini.
