MBMB issues stop-work order at Klebang beach

Sandblasting and hot work of shipping vessels involve the use of cleaning solvents and chemical preservative coatings which contain toxic and flammable ingredients such as hydrocarbon solvents, and epoxy resins.

MALACCA: Malacca Historic City Council (MBMB) has issued an immediate stop-work order to a sand dredging company for illegally carrying out ship repair works at Klebang beach here.

The action was taken following a visit by MBMB enforcement officers late Friday evening revealed illegal sandblasting and hot work activities being carried out at the site.
