KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry has made the right decision to take a precautionary approach in adopting the new dengue vaccine developed by Sanofi Pasteur, said an epidemiologist.
Universiti Malaya deputy vice-chancellor/provost (academic and international) Prof Awang Bulgiba Awang Mahmud said the ministry had not recommended the vaccine in Malaysia yet because it did not give comprehensive protection for all serotypes.
