Labuan in last-ditch effort to stop duty-free sales rules


KOTA KINABALU: A last-ditch effort is underway by Labuan’s political and business leaders to stop a move that will curb sales of duty-free alcohol and tobacco products from Aug 1.

Labuan MP Datuk Rozman Isli is in the federal capital with 15 Labuan Barisan Nasional and business chambers leaders to urge the federal government to put on hold the proposal that will see strict curbs in sales of duty-free goods.
