Fighting for support: Ung (centre) with other students at the press conference in Shah Alam.

SHAH ALAM: Not wanting to give up on their dreams of studying abroad, nine top scorers have started a fund-raising campaign to pave the way.

They are among hundreds of students left in a lurch after the government suspended scholarships granted under the Public Service Department (PSD) bursary due to a budget cut in January this year. Aptly titled Fund For Hope, the nine PSD scholars want to raise RM750,000 by August to pay for their first year tuition fees at top British and US universities.
