Cleaners discover WWII bomb


BATU PAHAT: A drainage clean-up by two SWM Environment workers took on an “explosive” twist when they uncovered an old mortar bomb believed to be from World War II along Jalan Nipah in Yong Peng here.

Batu Pahat acting OCPD Supt Mender Singh said police were notified at around 11.45am yesterday when one of the residents lodged a report about a bomb in front of his house.
